Course Objectives
Upon the successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of blower and fan technology and become familiar with the basics of stationary and moving air

  • Know the description, characteristics and functions of airfoils and single-thickness sheet metal profiles and emphasize the influence of shape on airfoil performance

  • Identify the types of fans as well as its terminology and mechanical construction

  • Understand the design, selections and applications of axial-flow fans and be able to learn the various fan laws and their system resistance

  • Analyze the flow pattern, operating principle and drive arrangements of centrifugal and axial-centrifugal fans and become acquainted with fan selection and specific speed

  • Acquire knowledge on roof ventilators and be able to determine the ventilation requirements and duct systems of blowers & fans

  • Identify the types of ventilation for agricultural requirements

  • Review the flow pattern, appearance, performance, advantages & disadvantages of cross-flow blowers and understand flow and pressure coefficient

  • Describe the flow pattern, appearance, principal dimensions, performance, noise level and applications of vortex blowers

  • Explain the various methods to drive a fan and be able to carry-out the operation and performance of fanless air movers

  • Apply performance testing of fans and be able to know the configurations, testing and performance of vacuum cleaners

  • Learn fan performance as shown in catalogues and be able to describe the flow pattern, function and performance testing of air curtain

  • Describe ceiling fans and be able to learn its function during the heating season

  • Become familiar with AMCA standards and determine the various tests used in identifying the mechanical strength of blowers and fans

  • Identify the guidelines in the troubleshooting and problem solving of blowers and fans and emphasize the safety precautions in the installation and maintenance of fans

Course Certificate
Haward Technology certificates will be issued to all attendees who attend 75% of the course as a minimum.

The CEU is an internationally accepted uniform unit of measurement in qualified courses of continuing education.

Haward Technology has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102, USA. In obtaining this approval, Haward Technology has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of our Authorized Provider membership status, Haward Technology is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard.

Haward Technology Middle East will award 3.0 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for participants who completed the total tuition hours of this program. One CEU is equivalent to ten Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or ten contact hours of the participation in and completion of Haward Technology programs. A permanent record of a participant’s involvement and awarding of CEU will be maintained by Haward Technology. Haward Technology will provide a copy of the participant’s CEU Transcript of Records upon request.

Course Fee
US $ 3,750 per Delegate. This rate includes Participant’s Pack (Folder, Manual, Hand-outs, etc.), buffet lunch, coffee/tea on arrival, morning & afternoon of each day.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the course fees. However, any accommodation required can be arranged by Haward Technology at the time of booking.
