HAWARD TECHNOLOGY: THE FIRST AND ONLY IACET AUTHORIZED PROVIDER IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Haward Technology has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, Haward Technology has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard which are widely recognized as Standard of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, Haward Technology is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard.
Haward Technology's courses/workshops/seminars meet the professional certification and continuing education requirements for participants seeking Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in accordance with the rules & regulations of the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET). IACET is an international authority that evaluates programs according to strict, research-based criteria and guidelines. The CEU is an internationally accepted uniform unit of measurement in qualified courses of continuing education.
Haward Technology Middle East will award IACET CEUs (Continuing Education Units) to participants who completed the total tuition hours of a training program. One CEU is equivalent to ten Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or ten contact hours of participation in and completion of Haward Technology programs. A permanent record of a participant's involvement and awarding of CEU will be maintained by Haward Technology. Haward Technology will provide a copy of the participant's CEU Transcript of Records upon request.

Answer:
The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is an internationally accepted and recognized method of quantifying the time spent in the classroom during qualified professional development and training activities. Ten (10) hours of instruction equal one (1) CEU.

Why would one need to obtain CEUs?
Answer:

he purpose of issuing CEUs is to provide a
permanent record of training and continuing education
for individuals who need to submit proof of their continuing education to state licensing and certification boards, employers, admissions in post graduate educational institutions, etc. CEUs are professional development and training units and not academic units, however, may contribute towards more efficient completion of academic admissions or postgraduate requirements and projects.

ny organization that offers professional development education and training programs may potentially award CEUs. Adoption and use of the CEU is entirely voluntary and does not require the approval of another agency.

How many CEUs may be awarded for any given program?
Answer:
The number of CEUs awarded for an event is calculated based on the event's number of instructional hours. Under the IACET standards, ten (10) hours of instruction equal one (1) CEU. Instructional hours do not include time involved in coffee breaks, meals, social activities, business and committee meetings, or vendor exhibits.

How does Haward Technology keep track of the number of CEUs accumulated?
Answer:
HTME enters into its database the CEUs earned by the participant, based on his successful completion and attendance of the training programme.

What is the exchange rate between Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs)?
Answer:
0.1 CEU (1 hour of instruction) is equivalent to 1 PDH unit. 1.0 CEU (10 hours of instruction) is equivalent to 10 PDH units
