Mr. Elroy Christie


Mr. Elroy Christie, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Pipeline & Piping Engineer with over 20 years of extensive experience within the Petrochemical, Refineries and Oil & Gas industries. His expertise includes Fitness-for-Service (FFS) of Process Equipment, Piping Systems and Pipelines in accordance with API 579, Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) of Process Equipment, Piping Systems and Pipelines in accordance with API 580/581, Process Engineering & Design, Inspection Engineering, Mechanical Integrity, Process Plant Performance & Efficiency, Engineering Problem Solving & Troubleshooting, Piping Stress Analysis & Design, Pipeline Integrity Assessment and Design, Analysis, Fabrication, Inspection, Maintenance, Repair of Pressure Vessels & Equipments, Storage Tanks and Heat Exchangers. He is an International Expert in ISO, AWS, ASME, API, NBIC, NEC, NFBIC, ISA, ASTM and ANSI Codes and Standards.

Mr. Christie spent most of his career life working with international companies like GE Plastics & DuPont.  Herewith, he handled several challenging responsibilities involving the Process Safety Management & Operations and Polymer Operations. He had been the Operations Manager, Process Safety Manager, Polymer Area Leader, Maintenance/Operations Supervisor, Manufacturing Specialist, Process Engineer and Chemical Engineer.  Herein, he was responsible for developing the training for Safe Handling of Explosive Powders for GE Plastics Corporate World Wide and Productivity Improvements & Uptime improvements providing technical assistance to operations for Safety & Environmental Stewardship programs, design and implementation of computer-based watchdogs for process monitoring and optimization and the Organizational Restructuring using Six-Sigma Design & Methodology. Further, he was honoured for prestigious awards such as ‘DuPont Distinguished Environmental Service Award’, ‘Environmental Excellence Award’ and ‘Site Engineering Service Award’. He has further received several local management awards for his contributions in Process Safety Management (PSM).

Mr. Christie has Master & Bachelor degrees in Chemical Engineering. Further, he is a API 570 Process Piping Inspector, API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector and former Certified API 653 Inspector.
