Professor Jack Cronje, PhD, MSc, BSc, is the Senior Professor of Supply Chain & Logistics Management at UNISA with over 25 years of experience in most facets of Supply Chain Management such as Procurement, Business & Technical Logistics, Transport Economics, Distribution, Product Supply, Warehousing and Materials Resource. He is concurrently the Department Head of Logistics & Transport Economics at UNISA.
Professor Cronje’s career life mostly evolved in the Supply Chain and Logistics fields. As an expert Logistics Practitioner, he was able to work as the Program Manager for the Certification Program in Business Logistics. He was also the Operations Manager in the bus industry and was responsible for the Logistics Management, Industrial Relations, Procurement and Transport operations. He has been managing Logistics, Procurement and Transport Consultancy work for both public and private sectors and he was also an External Examiner for Logistics & Transport at the University of Pretoria.
Professor Cronje has PhD, Master and Bachelor degrees in Logistics and Transport Economics. Further, he has various projects, researches and publications on Supply Chain and Logistics Management. He has also developed curricula and study materials and presented numerous lectures for the European Certified Board of Logistics (ECBL) programmes and delivered papers at international logistics and transport conferences.
