Mr. Mustafa El Khady


Mr. Mustafa El Khady, PE, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with over 35 years of practical and industrial experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling & Work Control, Maintenance Management, Auditing Benchmarking & Performance Improvement. His wide experience covers P&ID, Engineering Drawing, Codes & Standards, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Vibration Analysis, Design, Installation, Maintenance & Operation of Flare, Blowdown and Control, Protection & Relief Systems, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), HVAC Systems, Cold Stores, Fire Fighting Systems and Rotating & Static Equipments such as Compressors, Pumps, Turbines, Gear Boxes, Pipes, Pipelines, Boilers & Heat Exchangers.  Presently, he is the Deputy Design Consultant Manager for Mechanical Works, Arab Consultant Engineers. He spearheads the team in the preparation of designs, drawings, quotations, technical specifications for all Mechanical works on HVAC, Boilers, Water Supply, Fire Fighting System, Diesel Generators, and Power Supply. At the same time, he is a Consultant for a prominent engineering consultant company and an Instructor on Maintenance Planning, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC & Refrigeration Fundamentals, HVAC Processes Heat Load Estimation, HVAC Systems, Air Distribution, Air Duct Work, Chilled Water & Cooling Tower Networks for several Oil & Petroleum companies. He has also given lectures on the Design & Construction of Hyper Cold Stores, and the Design of HVAC Systems for Hospitals for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).


Previously, Mr. Mustafa had been the Head of Mechanical General Services, and a Senior Mechanical Engineer for QAPCO, where he oversaw the maintenance planning & work control and managed the design, selection, installation, erection, maintenance and operation of rotating machines (such as compressors, pumps, turbines, gear boxes), mechanical static equipments (such as steam cracker furnaces, sulfur recover units, ERU, steam generators), and HVAC systems, Fire Fighting Systems, Sea Water Cooling Network, Centrifugal Compressors and Air Compressors.

Mr. Mustafa is a Registered Professionnal Engineer with Master and Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He is a well-regarded member of  the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and  the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
