Professor Ibrahim Al-Mutaz


Professor Ibrahim Al-Mutaz, PhD, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Chemical & Process Engineer with over 25 years of experience. His expertise lies heavily on Process Engineering, Process Plant Troubleshooting & Rehabilitation, Process Equipment, Process Plant Performance & Efficiency, Process Technology, Simulation & Optimization of Desalination Processes, Desalination & Water Treatment, Optimum Production of Water & Power, Ground Water Pre-Treatment Facilities and its Environmental Protection.  He is currently the Consultant for the Ministry of Water and Electricity – Water Treatment. At the same time, he expresses his passion for sharing his technical expertise as a distinguished Professor on Process & Chemical Engineering.

Along with the impressive reputation and authority that Professor Ibrahim has earned for himself, he has published about 200 papers in numerous journals and conferences on desalination and water treatment, and has brought in an immense contribution to the design of several MSF Desalination Plants.

Professor Al-Mutaz has a PhD, Master and Bachelor degrees in Chemical  Engineering from the Yale University (USA).   He is a well-regarded member of the IChemE (England), AIChE (USA), CSChE (Canada), ACS (USA), AWMA(USA), the Committee of the Arab Water Council, and the Committee of Prince Sultan Research Center for Environment, Water & Desert.
