Mr. Alain Meesschaert


Mr. Alain Meesschaert , PE, BSc, is a Senior Offshore & Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years of extensive experience in offshore maintenance management, pipe laying & drilling, oil & chemical tankers, reefers, bulk carriers, container feeders, marine engineering, rig & jack-up inspection, maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems, pre-commissioning of piping, construction, diesel engines, generators, pipe laying and drilling gears, commissioning and start-up procedures (FMEA tests), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and managing mechanical, instrument, logistics and safety crews.  He is currently the Marine Mechanical Manager of OFFCON International.

During his career life, Mr. Meesschaert was the Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Engineer, Chief Engineer for a pipe laying vessel of OFFCON International.  He was also the Commissioning Engineer for Pride International wherein he was responsible for the supervision of marine dredging, pipe laying and drilling.  He also worked for several European companies as a Marine Engineer.

Mr. Meesschaert also contributed his skills and knowledge in the academe.  He was a Senior Professor of Marine Engineering courses in the Maritime College in Belgium.  Prior to that, he was a Chief Engineering Instructor for Dredging International, lecturing to Marine and Mechanical Engineering students.

Mr. Meesschaert is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor degree in Marine Mechanical Engineering from the Antwerp Maritime Academy, Belgium.
