Mr. Bonn Macy


Mr. Bonn Macy, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Projects Manager with over 20 years of extensive experience in Project Management, Contract Management, Contracts & Tendering, Human Resource Management, Quality Management, Financial & Risk Analysis, Regulatory Tax and Fiscal Policy Analysis, Budget Preparation, Strategic Business Planning, Business & Industrial Economics, Project Appraisal, Market & Business Forecasting, Emerging Technologies and Statistical & Econometric Methods.  He is currently the Director of Nano Ventures LLC in Washington DC, USA wherein he is responsible for the corporate strategy, business & product planning, market & competitive analysis, financial planning & budgeting and technology assessment.

During his career life, Mr. Macy was the Senior Associate for Global Energy Practice of Booz Allen Hamilton Company in the USA wherein he provided strategic management & economic consulting services to clients around the world.  He assisted four of the largest global energy companies built and strengthen businesses from upstream operations to downstream marketing.  He was also the Special Assistant (Presidential Appointee) to the Mineral Management Service Director of the US Department of Interior where he was the Senior Advisor on energy policy, regulation & markets and negotiated & developed major regulations & policies with industry, FERC, the States and Congress.  Prior to this, he was the Senior Economist, Policy Advisor & Project Manager of Sentech USA and the US Agency for International Development.  He was a Valued Consultant to the US Department of Energy and to other organizations on emerging technology issues.  He managed energy and environmental investment & policy projects in Eastern Europe.

In the earlier years, Mr. Macy was the Senior Economist at the Office of the Management & Budget of the US President’s Office (the White House) where he was a lead economist in a special policy unit focused on national energy, royalty and environmental policies.  He was also an Energy Associate for McKinsey & Company where he developed corporate strategies, market & financial analyses for leading global companies.  He also worked as Senior Financial Economist for British Petroleum wherein he developed corporate financial strategy including corporate structure, hedging and liability management.  He also analyzed oil markets, tax issues, regulations and energy policy.

Mr. Macy has Master degrees in Economics and Mineral Economics & Mining and a Bachelor degree in Material Science.  He is the ex President of the International Association for Energy Economics and continues to be an active & highly regarded member.
