Dr. Emad Mansour, PhD, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Chemical and Process Engineer with over 25 years of extensive experience in Petrochemical and refining industries. His experience covers Engineering Drawing, Codes & Standards, fuels, aromatics, Polyethylene & Polypropylene Engineering, Catalyst Design & Catalytic Processes, Probability & Statistics, Experimental Design Program, Petroleum Refinery Processing, Process Development, Process Engineering Designs, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Process Plant Optimization, Data Analysis Techniques, Statistical Analysis of Laboratory Data, P&ID and Research & Development (R&D). He is currently the QA Manager of New Medical Technology (USA) wherein he is in-charge for the preparation and commercial scale production of Silicone Gel Ointment for scar management and responsible for quality assurance and conducting of shelf life studies for the different products.
During his career life, Dr. Emad worked as the Head of the Design Center of Al-Basil Company under the Military Industry Commission wherein he managed the pilot plant design for the corrosion inhibitors materials, production of ammonium chloride and multi-purpose unit for various lubricating materials. He was also the Head of Training & Studies Department wherein he and his team conducted feasibility studies of the production of catalyst, polyethylene, polypropylene & polyurethane, chlorinated rubber, sodium silicate and the production of silicate and water treatment chemical in the Middle East. Prior to this, he was the Head of the Design Administration where he was responsible for the basic design of the pilot plant for the production of aviation oils and chlorinated rubber. In his earlier career, he started-out as a Researcher where he conducted studies on the scale-up and operation of hydrogenation (Benzene, Paraxylene and Cyclohexane), production of Acetate Tow, Octane and distillate percentage as well as preparation of Furfural Alcohol using Fixed Bed Technique, passivation of Stainless Steel Surfaces and purification of spent Sulfuric Acid. Moreover, he has been the Senior Professor of Chemical Engineering and Visiting Fellow & Lecturer to various universities in the Middle East. He was further endowed with numerous commendations for his “Outstanding Performance and Services” as a Scientist and Educator from the Military Industry Commission and Ministry of Higher Education.
Dr. Emad has PhD, Master and Bachelor degrees in Chemical Engineering. Further, he is an active member of the Chemical Engineering Committee (USA), Al-Basil Scientific Committee, Petrochemical Committee for Standardization & Quality Control, Scientific Committee of Production Plants and Examining Committee for several PhD & MSc students in CHE. He is also consultant member of the Chemical Industry Consultancy Committee under the Ministry of Science & Technology. Moreover, he has one patent and 23 published scientific papers including “Liquid-Liquid Extraction Using Counter Current Foaming Columns” on 1987.
