Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes various practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt in the class will be applied using the following practical methods:- This course covers the qualification requirements for Welding Engineers. It describes how qualifications are determined, and the practice by which qualification may be attained and maintained. The course will evaluate the qualifications of each individual, and provide examinations to test the individual?s knowledge in engineering skills and knowledge as well as their ability to apply the principles of welding engineering. The course is intended to supplement the minimum requirements of employers, codes, other standards, or documents and shall not be construed as a preemption of the employer?s responsibility for the work or for the performance of the work. It shall be the responsibility of employers to determine that their employee, who, having qualified as a Welding Engineer, is capable of performing the specific duties involved in their career assignments. Moreover, a person with the demonstrated education, experience, and knowledge as defined by this information and who successfully passes the required examinations is considered qualified as an AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng).

VIRTUAL TRAINING (IF APPLICABLE)

If this course is delivered online as a Virtual Training, the following limitations will be applicable

Certificates: Only soft copy certificates will be issued to participants through Haward’s Portal. This includes Wallet Card Certificates if applicable
Training Materials: Only soft copy Training Materials (PDF format) will be issued to participant through the Virtual Training Platform
Training Methodology: 80% of the program will be theory and 20% will be practical sessions, exercises, case studies, simulators or videos
Training Program: The training will be for 4 hours per day starting at 09:30 and ending at 13:30
H-STK Smart Training Kit: Not Applicable
Hands-on Practical Workshops: Not Applicable
Site Visit: Not Applicable
Simulators: Only software simulators will be used in the virtual courses. Hardware simulators are not applicable and will not be used in Virtual Training
